What it costs otherwise
Three salaries, or one subscription
TowKey does not replace people. It does the repetitive part of what these three roles do all day, which is why one person running TowKey covers work that used to need a desk full of them.
Dispatcher
$46,000 USD
Answers the phone, takes the location and the vehicle, assigns a truck.
ZipRecruiter, January 2026
Administrative assistant
$47,460 USD
Email, invoicing, chasing what has not been paid, filing the paperwork.
US Bureau of Labor Statistics median
Insurance and claims clerk
$43,372 USD
Claim submissions, motor club paperwork, the correspondence behind both.
Wages are base pay only. Payroll taxes, benefits and the cost of hiring are on top of every figure in the left column, and none of them apply to the right one.
Add-on, Tier 1
AI phone answering
It answers, takes the details, and hands you a job to approve.
$399USD/month500 minutes included
Included on Tier 2 and Tier 3 (500 and 750 minutes a month)
The caller's location, vehicle and problem are written into the app, on the board, before you pick up the phone
Every call arrives as a proposal for you to approve, never as a dispatched job
It answers at 2am, in a storm, on the fourth simultaneous call
No per-minute charge. It stops at the included minutes and waits. Another block of 150 minutes is $120 USD, whenever you want it.
On Tier 1 it is billed monthly from the day you switch it on, and carries no trial of its own.
Top-ups
You will never get a bill you did not agree to
When you reach what your plan includes, TowKey stops and tells you. It does not keep going and add it to your invoice. If you want more, you buy a block and it is yours. If you would rather wait for the month to turn over, that works too, and it costs nothing.
Every purchase happens here on towkey.com, never inside the app. Buying a block sends you through your billing screen so the credit lands on the right company, and the balance is updated by the time you are back in TowKey.
Questions
Before you ask
What does the assistant actually do on a normal day?
You finish a recovery and say what happened out loud, and the invoice is drafted with the hours, the winch-out and the mileage on it before you are out of the truck. A call comes in and it takes the location, the vehicle and the problem and puts a job on the board. At seven in the morning it tells you what is still open, who is late and who has not paid. A driver two hours away asks it where they are going next instead of asking you. Every one of those ends with you approving it, and nothing goes out until you do.
Will my drivers actually use it?
The driver app shows one thing at a time: the next call, the address, the customer's number. Forms are signed on the phone screen with a finger, which is faster than a clipboard and does not end up in a footwell. Drivers who will not type can talk to it instead.
Can I keep my invoice numbers?
Yes. You tell TowKey the number you are up to and the sequence continues from there, so your books do not have a gap in them and your accountant does not have a question. Your operator and storage certificate numbers print on the documents that require them, and a document that is missing one is refused rather than printed blank.
Do I need to buy hardware?
No. Your drivers' phones report their own location through the driver app, which is all TowKey needs. If you already run GPS trackers or cameras, you can connect them today in Settings under Integrations, and there is nothing extra to buy to do it.
Is there an app to install?
Yes, and it is a real one. The driver app is a native app for iPhone and Android, from the App Store and Google Play, so it holds location and the microphone properly and works the way a phone app is supposed to. The dispatch board is built for a desk and a wide screen, which is where a dispatcher works.
What happens during the free trial?
You get 7 days on the plan you picked, with your own trucks, your own drivers and your own jobs in it. Signup takes a card so nothing switches off on you the morning the trial ends. If it is not for you, cancel inside the 7 days and nothing is charged.
What counts as an AI action?
One piece of work it does for you: turning a spoken note into a job, drafting an invoice, drafting a customer text, writing the morning brief. Asking it a question about what is on the screen is free and does not count.
How does AI phone answering bill?
It is included on Tier 2 and Tier 3, 500 and 750 minutes a month, at no extra charge. On Tier 1 it is an add-on at $399 USD a month with 500 minutes. Nothing is charged by the minute. When the included minutes run out it stops answering and tells you, and another 150 minutes is $120 USD whenever you want them.
Can I change tier later?
Yes, up or down, and seats can be added or removed the same way. You are billed for what you are on.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
Yes, on every tier. Invoices and customers sync both directions, so a job is never entered twice.
